Your person, someone who knows you. The one person you don’t talk about behind their back, even for a second. You don’t need to explain yourself to this person and they get why you’re so angry at the world 90% of the time. The person you need to cheer you on because you’re too tired to believe in yourself. You go to them to describe every a-hole you talked to that day and to explain your theory on why the world sucks so bad. When you’re sick of your friends, you go to this person to vent, vent, VENT. The person who pretends right alongside you that everything’s going to be okay.. because if we believe it enough, we’re convinced it’ll happen. If this person abandons you, that’s it. Game over. The person who’s on your side and understands why you’re not a gooey, warm, or healthy human being. And doesn’t push you to be one. This person.. this person knows you. Darkly. Really knows you.

We can’t have too many of these people, because the more we have.. the less we need them. As with anything, the more of it you have, the less of it you need. And sometimes we’re lucky enough to find one, maybe two people who fit the above definition in the spurts of life.. that should be plenty.

This year was simply the best year of my life. This year I experienced more things than I would’ve imagined or even thought of for that matter. This year I graduated high school, I became a college student, I became an adult. I attended amazing events, I made many great friends, I had hardly any enemies, and even those die with this year. I didn’t experience prolonged boredom, 2009 gave me great things to do. The Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter of 2009 were the best I’ve ever experienced. I know someday when I lie an old man reminiscing about my past I’ll look back at 2009 for the greatest memories of my life. To my loves, to my friends, to my family, to my enemies, thank you for being a part of my life and making this the grand year it truly was.

Thank You 2009, I’ll never forget you, a warm goodbye.
2010, I’m ready for you.

My life (ever since the semester ended) consists of waking up in the morning, checking my texts, going on AIM and talking to Vittorio (why the hell doesn’t anyone else talk to me?), eating, studying my Tagalog, listening to music with my face turned to the wall, meditating (under medications lol), eating, watching Top Gear, and talking on the phone until I fall asleep.

Interesting routine, how’s your break going?
